As always, let's kick off with some good news & a selection of the hottest jobs in RevOps right now

In the News 📰

What's made the news in the world of RevOps, Go-To-Market & AI recently?! 👇🏼

State of RevOps Report - A recent survey from Openprise highlights key trends in RevOps, showing that 89% of RevOps teams now support marketing, sales, and customer success teams together. However, it also reveals that having a formal RevOps department doesn't necessarily improve team alignment. The survey also shows increasing responsibility for tech stack management and metrics, underlining the evolving role of RevOps in shaping data-driven strategies - which is definitely something that comes up on the podcast a lot, so we can testify to.

AI (AI in the news? Surely not!) ...

AI’s potential in RevOps is a growing conversation - and one we're actively participating in on the All things being SQL podcast every week. AI tools are being used to streamline processes like sales forecasting and customer segmentation, helping teams reduce manual work and improve accuracy. This allows RevOps teams to shift their focus toward more strategic tasks. Recent articles suggest that companies leveraging AI in their RevOps processes have seen up to 30% improvements in forecasting accuracy - which is pretty huge!

This ties in nicely with Richard Heritage 's recent blog post where he explores how machine learning (ML) is revolutionizing RevOps by driving smarter, data-driven decisions. By automating routine tasks and uncovering patterns in sales and marketing data, ML allows teams to focus on strategy and growth. This technology is enabling faster, more accurate revenue forecasting, customer segmentation, and lead scoring. By integrating ML with RevOps, organizations can unlock new efficiencies and gain a competitive edge.

Two more episodes released, both absolutely dynamite.

First up, we had Ben Austen , an experienced RevOps Director, former pro poker player and currently attempting to run from his house to every tube station in London!

Ben's take on RevOps being the neutral integrator of commercial teams and strongly advocating for a close relationship with the CFO/your finance team was a really interesting listen. Go check it out here.

And just yesterday we posted episode 11 with the almighty 📈 Jeremey Donovan, Exec VP of RevOps & Strategy for one of the most well known SaaS venture capital firms in the world. What Jeremey doesn't know about RevOps and Go-to-Market probably isn't worth knowing. His revenue playbook is probably the most comprehensive guide for revenue professionals we've ever seen and it's completely FREE

Infer-nal goings on 🚀

Another 2 weeks has flown by - when does it not in the start-up world?!

In case you missed it, there was the small matter of our HUGE Secret Escapes announcement. Working with them has been an absolute pleasure & we're only just getting started. Read more here.

A small but mighty update. After Liam Wilson and Richard Heritage many, many gripes about using Github to post blogs (although they secretly loved the slack notification in the #dev channel confirming their commit), we've now moved to Contentful which has been plain sailing so far!

Product:

We’ve made a major upgrade at Infer, transitioning from SQLite to DuckDB as our base language for SQL-inf —and the results are incredible! 🚀 DuckDB offers lightning-fast performance for analytics, bringing functionality that SQLite simply couldn’t provide.

As a reminder, SQL-inf, our extension of SQL works on any SQL variant to bring you machine learning powered analysis using our simple commands.

For example:

SELECT * FROM pristine_customer_table PREDICT(customer_lifetime_value)

This would build you a customer machine learning model in seconds giving you a predictor of customer lifetime value which you can then write back to your CRM or data warehouse in a few clicks.

By combining DuckDB's advanced capabilities with our machine learning engine, we’ve built something truly epic, making data processing and analysis smoother and faster than ever.

That'll do for this instalment, I hope you've had fun.

Remember to subscribe to the newsletter & follow Infer on LinkedIn to keep up to date with everything that's going on! Keep your eyes peeled for even more big announcements.
